Key Responsibilities
- Design and program full PLC-based control systems for custom automated conveying equipment.
- Develop intuitive HMI interfaces (FactoryTalk View) and configure VFD platforms (PowerFlex).
- Create comprehensive electrical schematic packages, including BOMs and component selection.
- Skilled in one or more industry standard programming platforms such as: SCADA, Siemens WIN CC, Ignition, Rockwell Factory Talk View / Rockwell Automation (CompactLogix/ControlLogix).
- Skilled with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Master reusable code blocks and control templates to improve department-wide efficiency.
- Lead internal system commissioning and troubleshooting during the machine development cycle.
- Ensure all designs meet NEC and UL 508A standards.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and drive systems.
- Work with engineering teams to develop and improve automation solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or automation engineering or related field.
- 1-5 years experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-based engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLC platforms (CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Micro800).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or other electrical design software.
