Automation Engineer

About the role

The Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team works behind the scenes to ensure Amazon's fulfillment centers operate efficiently. As an Automation Engineer, you will focus on improving equipment reliability and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Proactively troubleshoot and support complex control systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems
• Implement innovative projects using state-of-the-art technology like conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices and programs
• Ensure customer orders are delivered with Amazon's signature speed and accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent
• 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Experience in dealing with material handling, flow, and capacity
• Experience with industrial control systems, both hardware and software

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of PLC based controls design, development, implementation, and support

Pay

Base salary range: $90,000.00 - $112,500.00 USD annually
