What You'll Do
- Install line-side equipment, including instrumentation and automation control systems
- Create NEC/UL508A code compliant control panels and perform retrofits to existing panels, by following engineering prints and using supplier information
- Collaborate and provide feedback with relevant teams to determine appropriate equipment, instrument locations, and compliant cabling methods
- Verify automation equipment is safely installed and energized, and that it meets the project specifications and standards
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and control issues, using knowledge of control systems and proficiently reading electrical schematics, troubleshoot and commission VFD and servo drive systems
- Edit electrical schematics using EPLAN P8 Electrical CAD
- Perform basic mechanical assembly tasks, such as bolting brackets and covers, and using basic hand tools
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience working in an industrial automation or technical organization
- Familiarity with 480V power distribution panels, digital/analog I/O, and safety circuit systems
- Experience with wiring methods, terminations, and networking within industrial/manufacturing environments
- Experience with NEC compliance for industrial machinery, including raceway methods
- Command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to document, multitask, prioritize, and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
Essential Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, or hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: PAPR, safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
