About the role

The Automation Control Technician position is essential for setting up, installing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing complex electrical and electronic equipment, including automatic machines and process controls, motor control centers, and related controls. This role also involves participating in preventative maintenance activities and maintaining the plant's calibration system to ISO standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews and accurately reports personal activities on a daily or more frequent basis
• Affords technical support to operations on the proper operation of control systems on new/modified equipment installations
• Notifies the Engineering Manager if additional hand, power, or electronic diagnostic tools are required
• Participates in establishing and maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program
• Completes small electrical and/or electronic projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager
• Administers the plant’s calibration system in compliance to ISO standards
