Automation and Maintenance Technician

Your responsibilities

  • Facilitate new equipment automation projects
  • Implement preventative maintenance systems
  • Oversight of maintenance repairs to production equipment
  • Ensure equipment operates/functions
  • Guide implementation of automation projects
  • Maintain detailed schedules for new automation project activities
  • Coordinate project schedules, plans, and reporting
  • Execute maintenance on hydraulic press equipment with Allen Bradley and Siemens interface
  • Manage proper receipt of deliverables from support teams and automated hardware vendors
  • Support and coordinate the commissioning of new automated production and process equipment
  • Follow up with production team regarding identified machine issues
  • Ensure that critical issues are prioritized and resolved

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in a Maintenance or Controls Technician, Electrical Designer, or in a related technical role working in heavy equipment undercarriage manufacturing industry
  • 3 years of work experience with each of the following: mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance, and automation integration development and implementation in heavy equipment undercarriage manufacturing
  • Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming, and implementation of automation projects in heavy equipment undercarriage manufacturing industry
  • Coinciding project schedules, plans, and financial reporting activities
  • Following up regarding identified machine issues, and ensuring that critical issues are prioritized and resolved
  • Developing preventative maintenance systems and performing maintenance repairs
  • Working on manual and automatic presses in heavy equipment undercarriage manufacturing industry
