Automation and Control System Developer
About the role
The Automation and Control Systems Applications Developer plays a crucial role in designing and implementing control systems for HDR projects. This position involves programming, testing, and commissioning control systems, coordinating with various teams, and providing detailed documentation.
Responsibilities
- Program, test, and document control system programs and communication systems as per project scope
- Manage project tasks within budget and schedule
- Coordinate with Design, Construction, and Start-up teams for project control system
- Download and test control system programs and communication systems
- Participate in field testing and commissioning of the control system
- Willingness to travel as necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in process control system programming
- Proven experience in PLC logic and HMI integration in Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE, Siemens, etc.
- Ability to create and read logic and P&ID diagrams
- Strong communication, leadership, and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Skills
- Programming experience with PLCs and HMIs
- Experience with SCADA, PLC, HMI, Historian, and Industrial communication networks
- Ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completion
