Automation and Control System Developer

About the role

The Automation and Control Systems Applications Developer plays a crucial role in designing and implementing control systems for HDR projects. This position involves programming, testing, and commissioning control systems, coordinating with various teams, and providing detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

• Program, test, and document control system programs and communication systems as per project scope
• Manage project tasks within budget and schedule
• Coordinate with Design, Construction, and Start-up teams for project control system
• Download and test control system programs and communication systems
• Participate in field testing and commissioning of the control system
• Willingness to travel as necessary

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in process control system programming
• Proven experience in PLC logic and HMI integration in Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE, Siemens, etc.
• Ability to create and read logic and P&ID diagrams
• Strong communication, leadership, and planning skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Skills

• Programming experience with PLCs and HMIs
• Experience with SCADA, PLC, HMI, Historian, and Industrial communication networks
• Ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completion
