Automatic Door Technician
Repair and Maintenance
Repair and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products.
Customer Interaction
Meet with customers onsite to review work before and after services.
Work with office staff to order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.
Administrative Tasks
- Complete dispatches, work orders, and service requests accurately and on time
Track and maintain job-related paperwork
Submit paperwork to office staff in a timely manner – often via company-issued phone
Vehicle Management
- Manage parts and materials on your company-issued vehicle
Physical Demands
- Stand, bend, and/or climb for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Lift 75+ pounds
- Work at heights/use a ladder
Technical Skills
- Comfortable using power tools and hand tools – professionally or personally
- Mechanically-minded with a desire to continue learning
- Ready to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in the servicing or installing automatic doors
- 2+ years of experience in one or more of these fields: construction, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, military, mechanical, or similar
- 1+ years of customer service/interaction experience
- Skilled understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, or wiring
- 1+ years using power tools and hand tools in a professional setting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Organized, with a strong attention to detail
- Familiar with workflow within a construction job site or similar environment
