About the role

To service and perform preventative maintenance as required for Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment as may be sold or serviced by the branch. Perform service and repair work as designated in a profitable and proper manner.

  • Record productive time versus travel time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with the service program designated for specific customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedures.
  • Stay updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
  • Keep manuals and all documentation up to date as changes are advised.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper condition.
  • Maintain an adequate parts inventory for the service vehicle; keep an inventory log.
  • Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
  • Assist and instruct others in installation/service methods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License.
  • Frequently going up and down ladders.
  • Ability to stand on concrete for several hours a day.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel or crawl, and twist the spine.
  • Ability to work in various climates.
  • Ability to work overhead.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry weight up to 50-75 lbs.
  • Flexible work schedule is a must: ability to work nights and/or weekends, or be on call as necessary.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

  • Prior experience servicing automated doors.
  • Prior experience in the Construction Field installing door frames and windows or as a Glazier installing glass windows and doors.
  • Prior experience in the Electrical, Automotive, or Carpentry fields.

Pay

The expected Base Hourly Range: $30 - $35 an hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Bonus eligible: Yes, including a $3,000 bonus upon completion of AAADM Certification.
