About This Role

As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for turn-key project delivery, acting as a technical authority and mentor to junior technicians. You will also serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems.
- Deliver full software solutions, including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
- Act as the lead resource and mentor for junior techs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes.
- Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and align execution.
- Carefully coordinate with teams to ensure clear communication and reliable delivery.
- Travel as needed and stay adaptable to shifting priorities, project demands, and field workloads.
- Apply deep proficiency with ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines to deliver safe, high-performance systems across complex customer environments.
- Maintain expert-level documentation, including commissioning logs and progress tracking, to ensure safe and compliant system delivery.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of professional experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- A valid, current Driver’s License and insurability by the company’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
- Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to act as a technical authority and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative field environment.
- Executes turnkey building automation solutions with minimal oversight, focusing on high-quality field execution and resource management.
- High skills-level proficiency in integrating diverse platforms and managing complex TCP/IP and wireless networking.
- Advanced diagnostic skills for resolving high-level technical challenges in controls, sensors, and software, at the equipment and system level.
- Dedicated to delivering site-specific technical training to building owners and operators while maintaining clear documentation.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
