AutoCAD Consultant

Piper Companies is seeking an AutoCAD Engineer to support a leading engineering and design organization. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong AutoCAD expertise and experience working with engineering redlines and document control processes.

About the role

This AutoCAD Consultant position is a 3-month contract opportunity located in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD.
• Incorporate engineering redlines and updates into existing drawings while ensuring accuracy and compliance with drafting standards.
• Manage DWG files, drawing revisions, and document control processes throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and support project deliverables.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, CAD Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and DWG file management.
• Experience incorporating engineering redlines into existing drawings and maintaining revision control.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay

$35.00–60.00 per hour
