Auto Mechanic
About the role
A entry level mechanic in our high production mechanic shop, you will support the mechanic shop by performing light mechanical work. This position reports to the Mechanic Shop or designated manager.
Responsibilities
- Battery test and installation
- Brake pad, rotor and fluid inspection
- Electrical charging system check
- Tire and wheel maintenance including air pressure check
- Lighting systems inspection
- Engine belt, fluid, and filter inspection and oil/filter replacement
- Light mechanical repairs including fluids, filters, bulbs, wipers and more
- Multi-point inspections
- Learn preventative maintenance
- Track and record vehicle information following department processes
- Aid in overall general shop duties such as cleaning, driving, organizing vehicle parking and staging, etc.
- Provide prompt and courteous service to internal and external customers
- Maintain a professional appearance and neat work environment
- Promote teamwork at all times
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- 6 months of experience in automotive repair or related trade school experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team environment
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
- Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
