Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee

About the role

A Technician Trainee is responsible for learning and assisting with auto glass repair, replacement, and recalibration of automotive safety systems. Upon completing training, they will earn Safelite SafeTech certification and perform unsupervised tasks, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on and classroom training to develop skills in auto glass installation, repair, and recalibration.
• Assist in reinstalling auto glass, troubleshooting, and testing safety systems.
• Operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals safely.
• Provide additional services and products as needed.
• Maintain compliance with policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; valid driver’s license required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools, diagnostic tools, and operating a vehicle safely.
• Strong customer service, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adhere to safety and dress codes.
