Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee

About the role

Technician Trainee responsible for learning and performing auto glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations. Upon completing training, awarded Safelite SafeTech certification to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on and classroom training, observing and assisting with auto glass installation and repairs
• Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot, and conduct diagnostic testing
• Provide additional services and products, ensuring high-quality standards
• Operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals safely
• Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service
• Follow policies, safety standards, and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license required; ability to operate a vehicle according to laws
• Must be 18 or older
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors, with chemicals, and adhering to safety protocols
