About the role
Technician Trainee responsible for learning and performing auto glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations. Upon completing training, awarded Safelite SafeTech certification to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Participate in hands-on and classroom training, observing and assisting with auto glass installation and repairs
- Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot, and conduct diagnostic testing
- Provide additional services and products, ensuring high-quality standards
- Operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals safely
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service
- Follow policies, safety standards, and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license required; ability to operate a vehicle according to laws
- Must be 18 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors, with chemicals, and adhering to safety protocols
