Auto Finance Credit Manager
About the role
The Auto Finance Regional Area Credit Manager oversees all credit operations for auto dealer originated (indirect) consumer loans across multiple geographic markets. This role involves personally handling the most complex loans, developing and maintaining business through dealer relations and customer service, and monitoring portfolio compliance and risk. The position ensures staff are properly trained and that all policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, while making recommendations to improve policy effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all credit decisions and personally handle the most complex loans.
- Develop and maintain business in assigned markets through dealer relations and customer service.
- Responsible for approval, denial, and negotiation of consumer auto credit applications originated through auto dealers.
- Monitor portfolio compliance and risk.
- Ensure all staff are properly trained and that policies, procedures, and regulations are complied with.
- Make recommendations for policy changes to improve effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Local dealer knowledge and relationships
- Experience working with multiple dealerships and dealer groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prime auto underwriting experience
- Professional, personable, and friendly communication style with a focus on customer service
- Ability to interact with all levels of individuals on the phone and in person
- Enjoy working independently and effectively in a deadline-driven, multi-task environment with strong organization and attention to detail

Yes (not eligible for overtime pay)

Pay
$93,000 – $189,000 Annual Salary (base compensation range; actual pay varies by location, experience, and education)
