Auto Field Adjuster - National General

About the role

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto, and accident and health insurance, as well as other specialty niche insurance products. This role is a field-based opportunity supporting the Orland Park, Tinley Park areas.

Responsibilities

• Create or audit comprehensive estimates of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims in either the auto or specialty lines leading to proper disposition.
• Train, mentor, control quality, and provide technical assistance on material damage claims.
• Possess strong estimating fundamentals to handle damages of all severities.
• Have a deep understanding of all policy types written by the company.
• Negotiate settlements, make settlement payments, and document all activities in complex files across multiple lines.
• Evaluate settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices, making decisions on the best option.
• Build master relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines.

Requirements

• Strong estimating fundamentals for creating or auditing estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities.
• A deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering a positive, customer-focused experience.
• Time management skills.
• Hands-on experience using CCC ONE or similar estimating software.

Benefits

Base compensation offered for this role is:

• Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49 – $37.50/hour
• Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – $39.42/hour
• Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82 – $45.58/hour

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.

Pay

• Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – $39.42/hour
• Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82 – $45.58/hour
