About the role
The Trellis School is seeking entry-level Autism Instructors for full-time positions. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM. The school is located at 14450 York Rd, Suite A, Sparks, MD 21152.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute naturalistic lesson plans outside of the classroom for learners that incorporate motivation and individualized education plan skills.
- Demonstrate the use of evidence-based (ABA/VB) teaching strategies to shape skills across learning environments.
- Implement learners’ individualized behavior, toileting, and feeding protocols.
- Accurately complete daily data tracking and input responsibilities.
- Implement feedback and instructional recommendations made by school team (teacher, BCBA, program specialists).
- Create and prepare instructional materials for individual learners.
- Participate in internal team meetings and high-profile meetings for students.
- Support general school procedures such as arrival, lunch schedules, dismissal, cleaning tasks, field trips, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma is required.
- An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

- Safety and security: Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
Skills
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents related to Maryland State Curriculum, accounting, policy and procedures manual(s), safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to write routine reports, letters, and emails.
- Ability to speak effectively with special needs children and in describing general work needs.

Pay
- Starting Pay Scale:
- High School Diploma: $21.00/hr
- Associate's Degree/Undergraduate Degree: $21.50/hr
- Masters Degree: $23.00/hr
Schedule
Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM.
