About the role
Little Kitchen Academy Westfield Century City is looking for inspiring Instructors who love working with children and have a passion for a healthy lifestyle. Little Kitchen Academy is the first-of-its-kind Montessori-inspired cooking academy for kids ages three through teen. We focus on providing a safe, inspiring, and empowering space for children to identify, develop, and refine their senses. Through joy, mindfulness, and learning, we create a foundation for a healthy lifestyle through responsible eating choices from scratch to consumption.
Responsibilities
- Execute on our core values every day, every class, every student (Health, Delight, Joy, Mindfulness, Learning, Empowerment, Inspiration).
- Demonstrate kindness, care, and patience.
- Lead and support classes in a positive environment.
- Cover shifts if unexpected absences in staffing occur.
Requirements
- Passion for living a healthy lifestyle.
- Food Safety Certification (required prior to starting).
- First-Aid/CPR/AED Certified (including for children, required prior to starting).
- Background check required to work with children.
- Teaching experience preferred.
Schedule
Part-time position (8–20 hours per week) with a variable schedule, including weekends, evenings, and weekend evenings. Flexibility in availability is ideal, with willingness to pick up shifts as needed.
Pay
Hourly, $16.50–$20/hr.
