Responsibilities
- Ensure audits are in compliance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Government Auditing Standards.
- Perform tests of various types of audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current controls.
- Perform internal audits that are routine and technical in nature.
- Work on a team for various audit projects.
- Interview and engage with clients during the planning phase of the audit and document conversations regarding the entrance and exit conferences.
- Ensure that all issues and recommendations are properly supported.
- Ensure that audit reports are accurate, concise, thorough, relevant, and timely.
- Conduct exit meetings with the engagement client and communicate details as per the agreed-upon terms.
- Assist in the preparation of the agency’s internal annual risk assessment by conducting interviews with program areas and compiling the information received for evaluation.
- Conduct exit conferences and collect corrective action plans.
- Monitor and follow up on corrective action plans to ensure they are being executed.
- Monitor the agency incident response to ensure appropriate processes and actions have been taken.
- Monitor and track the results of penetration testing performed by third parties.
- Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the Agency business continuity plan.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, public administration, economics, information systems, management, criminal justice, or another closely related field.
- An associate degree with multiple accounting courses or relevant work experience in auditing, compliance, investigations, program evaluation, business operations, risk management, quality assurance, data analysis, or process improvement may be considered with a year-for-year equivalency.
- If invited to interview, please obtain your official 10-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles to bring with you.
Preferred Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
- Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.

Pay
Salary range: $52,100 to $70,300.
