Job Responsibilities

Ensure audits comply with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and Government Auditing Standards.

Perform tests of various types of audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current controls.

Conduct internal audits that are routine and technical in nature.

Work on a team for various audit projects.

Interview and engage with clients during the planning phase of the audit and document conversations.

Ensure that all issues and recommendations are properly supported.

Ensure that audit reports are accurate, concise, thorough, relevant, and timely.

Conduct exit meetings with the engagement client and follow up on corrective action plans.

Maintain monitoring and tracking of the agency’s incident response and penetration testing.

Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the Agency’s business continuity plan.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and experience in accounting, auditing, finance, insurance, or tax preparation and/or analysis.
  • An associate’s degree with multiple accounting courses or relevant work experience with a year for year equivalency may be considered.
  • If invited to interview, obtain an official 10-year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and experience in accounting, auditing, finance, insurance, or tax preparation and/or analysis.
