About the role
Collects and reconciles all transactions handled by the Cage and related areas. Audits various reports to ensure accurate revenue information and supporting documentation. Provides timely and accurate reports upon request and prepares exception reports for procedural violations. Completes special projects as assigned and maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Audits Drop Verification Report to CDS
- Audits necessary slot reports to provide accurate revenue information
- Audits Master Games Report to supporting documentation and CDS
- Audits various outlets (F & B, Gift Shops, etc.)
- Audits Revenue Room and Pari-Mutuel activity
- Abides by all company, lottery commission, and departmental policies and procedures
- Notifies supervisor or management of procedural violations
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service
- Maintains professional behavior and appearance in compliance with standards
- Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff
- Participates in meetings and training as required
- Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner and reports safety hazards immediately
- Performs other duties as assigned by department and/or company management
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of one year related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret technical and mathematical formulas
- Ability to follow instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Lottery and Racing Commissions every year of employment
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
- Strong communication skills; diplomatic, tactful, and responsive to questions
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in an environment where smoking is permitted and with higher than normal noise levels
