About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and trains staff on engagements.
  • Reviews working papers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicates with clients and team members regarding engagement progress and issues.
  • Prepares or reviews financial statements and related documents.
  • Participates in client meetings and discussions.
  • Ensures adherence to Firm policies and professional standards.
  • Continuously updates knowledge of accounting principles and industry trends.
  • Secures new business opportunities for the Firm.
  • Bills and collects charges from clients.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with computer audit programs, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Sound critical thinking, professional judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Current knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure new business.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct oneself with integrity and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Frequent same day travel for work at client's offices, meetings, and seminars using a personal vehicle.
  • Occasional overtime is expected throughout the year, with heavy overtime required from February through April and August through October.

Qualifications

  • CPA certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting.
  • Experience in supervising and training staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Pay

Salary range is determined based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with occasional overtime required from February through April and August through October.
