Audit Senior - State and Local Government
About the Role
CLA, a top 10 national professional services firm, is seeking an Audit Senior to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in our West Region offices. Our SLG group is one of the fastest growing practice areas within CLA, consisting of 600 professionals serving over 2,100 local, county, and state government agencies. In this role, you will plan, lead, and execute assurance engagements, work closely with clients and decision-makers, and collaborate with managers/principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and execute assurance engagements to provide excellent client service.
- Work closely with clients and decision-makers while performing a wide range of assurance procedures.
- Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
- Research, analyze, and report on accounting, auditing, and related issues and developments.
- Schedule, delegate, and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
- Collaborate with managers/principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- 2 years of relevant audit experience required.
- SLG industry experience is a plus.
- CPA or eligible to sit for the CPA exam preferred.
Pay
The compensation range for this position is:
- Colorado: $80,000.00 - $131,000.00
- California: $87,000.00 - $146,000.00
Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact the position of pay within the range.
