About the Role
CLA is seeking an Audit Senior to join the State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the West Region. The SLG group is one of the fastest-growing practice areas at CLA, with 600 professionals serving over 2,100 local, county, and state government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and execute Assurance engagements to provide excellent client service.
- Work closely with clients and decision-makers while performing a wide range of assurance procedures.
- Audit complex areas/transactions and prepare financial statements and related reports.
- Research, analyze, and report on accounting, auditing, and related issues and developments.
- Schedule, delegate, and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
- Collaborate with managers/principals to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective client relationships.
- Work with a diverse portfolio of clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 2 years of relevant audit experience (required).
- State and Local Government (SLG) industry experience (a plus).
- CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam (preferred).
Pay
The compensation range for this position is:
- $80,000.00–$131,000.00 in Colorado.
- $87,000.00–$146,000.00 in California.
