About the role

The Weaver Audit Investment Funds (IF) practice is seeking an Audit Senior Associate or Supervisor to join their growing team. This role will perform in-charge responsibilities on larger and more complex engagements and manager responsibilities on smaller and less complex engagements. Engagements will primarily service a variety of clients within the Financial Services Industry (Alternative Investment Funds, Financial Institutions, Broker/Dealers, and others) along with occasionally assisting on client engagements in other industries.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively execute audit plans in all financial statement areas
  • Develop staff and client relationships through effective communication and proper planning and execution of engagements
  • Manage engagements independently or as part of a team
  • Assist in the development and implementation of audit procedures and techniques
  • Participate in client meetings and discussions to understand client needs and expectations
  • Prepare and review audit documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of engagements
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA candidate or CPA
  • 3 – 5+ years of public accounting experience, industry, or a combination of public accounting and industry experience, or its equivalent
  • Experience in Financial Services required (Alternative Investment Funds, Financial Institutions, Broker/Dealers, Insurance or related industries)

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Preferred: CPA

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of auditing standards and practices

Benefits

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
