Audit Senior Associate - Financial Services

About the role

Weaver’s Audit Investment Funds (IF) practice is seeking an Audit Senior Associate. The role involves in‑charge responsibilities on larger, more complex engagements and manager responsibilities on smaller engagements, primarily serving clients in the Financial Services industry (Alternative Investment Funds, Financial Institutions, Broker/Dealers, etc.) and occasionally other sectors.

Responsibilities

• Perform in‑charge duties on larger, complex audit engagements.
• Manage smaller, less complex audit engagements.
• Execute audit plans across all financial statement areas.
• Service a variety of Financial Services clients, including Alternative Investment Funds, Financial Institutions, Broker/Dealers, and related industries.
• Assist on client engagements in other industries as needed.
• Develop staff and client relationships through effective communication, planning, and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA candidate.
• 2–5+ years of public accounting experience, industry experience, or a combination thereof.
• Experience in Financial Services (Alternative Investment Funds, Financial Institutions, Broker/Dealers, Insurance, or related industries) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification.
