Audit Remediation Support Specialist

About the role

Lynch Consultants is seeking an Audit Remediation & Operation Support Specialist to support an Intelligence Agency Client in the National Capital Region. This person is responsible for staff supervision, overall planning, and client contacts, assisted as necessary by subject matter experts, and may perform audit remediation services related to the property lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Management related field
• 6 years of accounting or financial management experience, including a minimum of 4 years of experience performing one or more of the following:
  • Federal Financial Reporting
  • General Ledger Analysis
  • Audit Remediation
  • Financial Process Improvement through Automation
  • Documenting and Testing Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting in accordance with OMB Circular A-123
  • Determining the value of capital assets
• Active TS, TS-SCI clearance or eligible for a TS-SCI clearance
• US citizen
• Located in the National Capital Region (DC, Virginia, Maryland)

Preferred Qualifications

• DoD / Intelligence community financial management experience
• Federal or Commercial financial statement audit experience
• One of the following certifications: CPA, CIA, CFE, CFGM, and/or CDFM

Skills

• Familiarity with OMB Circular A-123
• Knowledge of FASAB Accounting Standards related to Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E)
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Pay

Up to $160,000/yr commensurate with experience
