Audit Manager/Director State and Local Government

We are currently seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in our Northeast Offices. Our SLG group is one of the fastest growing practice areas within CLA, consisting of 600 professionals serving over 2,100 local, county, and state government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with clients.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding to continue to positively impact their community.
• Help clients meet their audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools.
• Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.
• Lead the engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines for adherence.
• Communicate important developments to the engagement principal along with facts, conclusions, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm driving strategic management.
• Experience leading teams of high-performing people and managing governmental audits and Single Audits (strongly preferred).
• CPA license certification is required.

Pay

The compensation range for this position varies by location:

• Maryland: $116,000.00 - $187,000.00
• Massachusetts: $112,000.00 - $187,000.00
• Virginia: $118,000.00 - $187,000.00
