About the Role
CLA is seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our State and Local Government (SLG) practice in the Northeast Offices. The SLG group is one of the fastest-growing practice areas at CLA, comprising 600 professionals serving over 2,100 local, county, and state government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with clients.
- Assist clients in securing necessary funding to positively impact their communities.
- Help clients meet audit and financial planning objectives using a range of tools.
- Foster staff development through mentoring and overseeing client engagement teams.
- Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines.
- Communicate key developments, facts, conclusions, and recommendations to the engagement principal.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm driving strategic management.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and managing governmental audits and Single Audits (strongly preferred).
- CPA license certification is required.
Pay
- Maryland: $116,000.00 - $187,000.00
- Massachusetts: $112,000.00 - $187,000.00
- Virginia: $118,000.00 - $187,000.00
