About the Role
As an intern in Crowe’s Audit and Assurance practice, you’ll gain in-depth exposure to the auditing profession and learn about the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. You’ll receive guidance and work closely with experienced audit professionals, while also engaging with issues shaping the profession today.
During your internship, you’ll sharpen your analytical skills by auditing client financials, transactions, and internal control processes. You’ll work independently and collaborate with a diverse team of audit professionals to deliver exceptional client service. The role involves using Crowe’s audit tools and technologies, which leverage advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation to analyze client data and enhance the client experience.
Interns will have the opportunity to work as team members on diverse client engagements, including manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance, and financial institutions. You may also work on benefit plan audits of 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans.

Responsibilities
- Audit client financials, transactions, and internal control processes.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of audit professionals to deliver exceptional client service.
- Utilize Crowe’s audit tools and technologies, including advanced analytics and data visualizations.
- Work on diverse client engagements across industries such as manufacturing, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, and more.
- Participate in benefit plan audits, including 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans.
- Take initiative and seek on-the-job learning opportunities in a collaborative environment.
- Work evenings or weekends if needed (Saturday and/or Sunday).

Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting or a similar field.
- Scheduled to meet the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license. Prior to starting full-time, new hires must fulfill the education-related eligibility criteria for their assigned work location (requirements vary by state).
- Proficient with Excel.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Experience with data analytics is strongly desired.
- Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs).
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $27.00 - $42.00 per hour, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
