About the Role
As an Audit Intern, you will assist in performing data and report analysis in finance, accounting, purchasing, and other NEORSD systems while gaining exposure to Internal Audit assignments and projects. You will support various initiatives throughout your assignment.
Responsibilities
- System Data Analysis
- Use Microsoft tools to collect and report results of analysis.
- Assist with the development of workflows and work plans.
- Prioritize assignments, use judgment to determine the best course of action, and maintain professionalism.
- Develop learning in ACL and Diligent Platform.
- Departmental Assistance
- Get integrated with the software used by Internal Audit.
- Develop an understanding of audit processes.
- Assist with department reporting.
- Professional Development
- Actively participate in all assigned early talent events, including professional development workshops, networking sessions, and industry exposure activities.
Requirements
- Education
- Currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program, or have graduated within the past 24 months at the time of application.
- Pursuing or have completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a closely related field.
- Other Requirements
- Commit to a fixed-term assignment of 12 months with an option to extend at NEORSD’s discretion.
- Work 20-40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) during normal business hours.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a driving record in accordance with the District's acceptable guidelines.
This internship is a time-limited role at NEORSD with no express or implied guarantee of future employment beyond the assignment period. The position is governed by all applicable NEORSD administrative policies, practices, and procedures related to temporary employees.
Pay
- Undergraduate: $19.82/hour
- Graduate: $21.85/hour
