Audit & Accounts Trainee

About the role

We are TC Group, a top 20 accountancy firm in the UK. We offer bespoke support and advice to ambitious business owners and their businesses. We are recruiting an Audit & Accounts Trainee to start in September. We are looking for driven and enthusiastic sixth form/college leavers and graduates who are looking to start an apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Join a dynamic team and work with a range of different businesses
• Rapidly gain responsibility
• Learn how to work effectively in a team
• Build strong and lasting professional relationships
• Deliver exceptional client service
• Learn a mix of accounts and audit work, and likely to include some tax work (corporation tax, VAT and possibly personal tax and payroll)

Requirements

• 4 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Maths, or a Level 2 qualification (Merit or Distinction) in a related subject
• Two A-Levels and three GCSEs (or their equivalent) for graduate
• Relevant degree at 2:2 or above
• Strong attention to detail
• Good numerical and analytical ability
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and organization
• Basic Excel skills
• Open to feedback and continuously developing technical knowledge
• Handles deadlines, pressure, and repetitive tasks professionally
• Takes initiative to ask questions and solve problems rather than waiting for instruction

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 and 4 followed by ACCA or ACA
