Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day functions of the audiovisual office in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
- Accountable for the set-up, operation, and strike of all audiovisual sets.
- Ensure maximum client service, operational efficiency, and profitability levels.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Contribute to the effective management of day-to-day operations according to company procedures.
- Perform timely and accurate set-up and strike of equipment for client functions according to company guidelines.
- Continually increase audiovisual skills and knowledge.
- Maintain and cultivate positive public relations with hotel accounts.
- Maintain positive employee relations, strong team-player orientation, and communication standards.
- Effectively utilize the company's business software.
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image.
- Demonstrate planning skills—able to effectively plan ahead.
- Exhibit organizational skills—ability to manage multiple projects.
- Analyze problems and find solutions.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year’s experience in the AV industry.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with AV set-ups and strikes.
- Background in customer service or hospitality.
- Certification in AV technology or related courses (preferred).
- Proficiency with audio equipment: microphones, speakers, sound systems, channel mixers, etc.
- Proficiency with video equipment: LCD, LED, projectors, screens, monitors, etc.
- Proficiency with lighting: GOBO, gels, uplighting, basic lighting kits, stage lighting, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of PC and Mac software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work long hours on your feet.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work a varied schedule.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
