About the role
The Audiology Extern will work with a mentor under direct supervision to receive training and expertise to aid in preparation for a professional career in audiology.
Responsibilities
- Perform with supervision all audiology outpatient services including audiograms, vestibular testing, auditory evoked potentials and hearing aids.
- May provide presentations to audiology team members or leadership.
Qualifications
- Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science required. Completed 3 years of an accredited Audiology Program.
- Experience Requirements: No experience required.
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Working toward or obtained ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) required.
Skills
- Knowledge of audiology techniques and practices.
- Ability to perform basic patient assessment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and coworkers.
- Good computer skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
