About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. You will review electronic medical records via a secure web portal, conduct in-person assessments—including Maryland CNC and Puretone Audiometric tests—and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to generate necessary documentation for VA eligibility decisions.
Responsibilities
- Review electronic medical records through a secure web portal
- Conduct in-person assessments, including Maryland CNC and Puretone Audiometric tests
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for VA eligibility documentation
- Analyze medical records and accurately document exam findings
- Complete VA forms without prescribing treatments or devices
Requirements
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree
- Graduation from an ASHA-accredited program
- Current audiologist license
- Proficiency with technology
- Strong analytical skills
- Compassionate and professional demeanor when interacting with Veterans
Schedule
- Four-day workweek
- In-person assessments
- Caseload of 3-6 Veterans daily
