Our client is currently seeking a qualified Lead Audio Visual Technician to join their team onsite in Princeton, NJ. This technician serves as the senior AV resource responsible for conference room technology, executive event support, hybrid corporate meetings, and related collaboration environments. The role combines advanced hands-on technical support with coordination, mentoring, training, documentation, and continuous improvement responsibilities. The Lead works across AV, Desktop Support, Facilities, Network Support, meeting organizers, and third-party vendors to promote consistent execution and reliable service delivery. Lead Technician Serve as the on-site senior AV technician and primary technical escalation point for complex conference room, hybrid event, and executive support issuesCoordinate daily AV activities among AV technicians, Desktop Support technicians, Facilities personnel, Network Support teams, meeting organizers, and third-party vendorsLead cross-functional troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for recurring AV incidents, and drive corrective actions to completionAssist management with workload priorities and resource coordination for executive meetings, town halls, large events, technology refreshes, and other high-visibility activitiesEstablish, document, and reinforce AV operating standards, support procedures, and technical best practicesMentor and coach AV and Desktop Support personnel, promote cross-training, and provide structured knowledge transferDevelop, maintain, and deliver recurring in-service training that improves technician readiness, service consistency, and supplemental AV coverageIdentify technical or procedural knowledge gaps and implement targeted training and documentation improvementsServe as an AV subject matter expert and provide recommendations for room upgrades, technology refreshes, operational improvements, and support readiness AV Operations and Event Support Provide advanced audio/visual support for ETS conference rooms, training facilities, executive meetings, and corporate eventsPlan, coordinate, and support onsite, remote, and hybrid meetings, including corporate events with 200 or more attendees using professional-quality audio and video equipmentConfigure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise AV systems, conference room technologies, and collaboration platformsSupport live events in which presenters and audience members may be split between the presentation location and remote connectionsProvide real-time troubleshooting during executive meetings, town halls, board meetings, and other critical business eventsWork with meeting organizers and Facilities teams on room configuration, event setup, testing, execution, and post-event restoration Training and Knowledge Management Develop and deliver instructor-led, hands-on, and refresher in-service training for AV and Desktop Support technicians as needed or requestedCreate and maintain standard operating procedures, quick-reference guides, knowledge articles, conference room instructions, and training materialsConduct onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and knowledge-transfer sessions for new and existing support personnelDeliver end-user instruction on conference room technology and collaboration platforms when requestedAssess recurring incident trends for root causes and potential elimination or standard workarounds Technology, Asset, and Vendor Support Support Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, Poly room systems, Crestron environments, cameras, microphones, analog mixers, displays, and related presentation technologiesDeploy, administer, and troubleshoot Poly TC8, X50, and X70 solutions, including Poly device access and Poly Lens management toolsConnect and support Windows laptops, Mac devices, tablets, and mobile technologies within conference room environmentsApply IP networking knowledge when diagnosing AV endpoint, connectivity, and collaboration-system issuesMonitor and maintain AV equipment, inventories, operational health, and lifecycle activities across supported conference rooms and locationsCoordinate third-party vendor activities for Network Support, Crestron maintenance, equipment repair, room upgrades, and other specialized servicesAssist with ordering AV equipment, team supplies, and department materials Skills And Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise audio/visual technologiesExperience providing white-glove support to executive leadershipExperience supporting large corporate meetings, presentations, live events, and hybrid eventsDemonstrated experience coordinating work across multiple technical and operational support teamsExperience providing technical leadership without relying on direct reporting authorityAdvanced knowledge of sound, video, lighting, conferencing, and integrated room technologiesExperience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, and related collaboration platformsExperience with Poly TC8, X50, X70, Poly device troubleshooting, and Poly LensKnowledge of Crestron AV systems and integrated room-control environmentsExperience supporting microphones, analog mixers, cameras, displays, presentation technologies, computers, and IP networking systemsAdvanced analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to independently prioritize competing projects and incidentsProven ability to lead by influence and coordinate work across technical and non-technical teamsDemonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and train technical personnelStrong presentation and instructional skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver effective in-service trainingExperience developing technical documentation, SOPs, quick-reference materials, and structured learning contentExcellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and stakeholder-management skillsAbility to explain technical concepts clearly to technical coordinating effectively with the broader support organization Wage Range The rate for this position is between $27.75 - $37.00 per hour, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
