Audio-Visual Tech

Blue Line Productions, based in Wayne, NJ, provides audio-visual production services for corporate events, private functions, and live productions. We are seeking a part-time, onsite Technician, Technician Assistant, or Setup Tech to join our team.

About the role

We are looking for someone who can help build our team and contribute to a variety of events, including meetings, galas, weddings, mitzvahs, parties, concerts, and hybrid live/online conferences. The right candidate will receive training and become part of a collaborative environment that values teamwork and camaraderie. Some events include paid opportunities, and we occasionally gather for training or social activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading equipment from the van
• Help set up and break down audio-visual equipment for events
• Provide technical support during events, including sound, lighting, video, staging, and hybrid conferencing
• Travel to event locations in Manhattan and Wayne, NJ

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
• Availability to travel to event locations in the NYC/NJ area

Services you’ll support

• Sound (speakers, microphones, recording, mixing)
• Screens (TVs, projectors, video walls)
• Lighting (uplighting, stage lighting, fashion lighting, static/controlled lighting)
• Video (single-camera and multi-camera setups, editing)
• Staging (stages, pipe & drape, truss)
• Live/online hybrid events (Zoom, etc.)
• DJ services for weddings, mitzvahs, and corporate events
• Photography and photo booths
• Outdoor concerts and event logistics/planning
