Role Overview Seeking a Level 3 AV Service Technician Team Lead to provide onsite support for audiovisual (AV) and video teleconference (VTC) systems at a secure federal campus. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and certifying conference-room equipment, supporting high-level meetings, and troubleshooting connectivity issues. As team lead, you'll supervise onsite technicians, manage schedules, ensure SLA targets, and coordinate escalations to Tier-3 support. Strong expertise in AV/VTC platforms (e.g., Cisco, Crestron, Extron) and control-system programming is essential. Responsibilities Include Diagnosing and repairing AV/VTC equipment, supporting live senior-leader meetingsPerforming room certifications, equipment updates, and reprogramming control systemsMaintaining spare inventory, updating user guides, and producing schematic drawingsManaging onsite and offsite response times to meet SLA targetsSupervising and coordinating work among technicians, managing performance and reporting Qualifications & Skills Minimum 5+ years of hands-on AV/VTC support experience and 1+ year of supervisory/leadership experienceIndustry certifications such as AVIXA CTS (or higher) and manufacturer certifications (Crestron, Cisco, etc.)Proficiency with AV platforms, control systems, and AV-over-IP technologiesStrong customer service, communication skills, and physical ability to work on equipment and laddersU.S. citizenship, ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” clearance, and security clearance eligibility This full-time, onsite position requires punctuality, technical expertise, leadership, and a focus on service quality, supporting a federal client in the Kansas City area.
