Audio Visual Helper

About the role

The Audio Visual Helper at Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) in Tampa, FL, is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. This role assists experienced technicians with the installation, testing, and maintenance of Audio Visual, data, voice, networking, and fiber optic systems on commercial job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with the installation of Audio Visual, data, voice, network, and fiber optic cabling systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Pull, route, label, and organize low-voltage cabling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Aid in mounting displays, speakers, cameras, racks, and other A/V equipment.
• Work flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.

Requirements

• Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge. OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience Requirements: Previous construction, electrical, low-voltage, or Audio Visual experience is a plus but not required. Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction site safety.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
• Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

Skills

• Knowledge of Audio Visual, data, voice, network, and fiber optic systems.
• Basic understanding of low-voltage cabling installation and maintenance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
