Audio/Video Production Internship Role Summary The Audio/Video (A/V) Production Internship provides students or recent graduates the opportunity to learn the creative and technical processes of live sports production. The intern, working as a member of the Toledo Mud Hens and Toledo Walleye Broadcast & Media Department, will train on multiple in-house & broadcast positions, and assist with game day related tasks. The role works approximately 30 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Must provide at least two professional references on your resume.Demo reel featuring your work in one or multiple of the above job operations is recommended. Essential Responsibilities Assist with: The Maintenance of In-house and broadcasting systems at Fifth Third Field, Huntington Center, and Hensville. Set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of in-house and broadcasting systems for Mud Hens and Walleye games, Youth sporting events, and special events. Completing routine A/V projects for season preparation. Keeping production booths clean, organized, and professional for all games and events. Learn and operate in-house and broadcast equipment/software. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Sports Management, or related field preferred. This can be a post-graduate role. Skills & Competencies Ability to execute several tasks as the same time and work well under pressure. Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to think creatively and innovatively to enhance game day presentation. Proficient knowledge of baseball and hockey. Experience working with or basic knowledge of in-house and/or broadcasting systems. Working Environment Occasionally lifting A/V equipment, weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, etc. for duration of the shift. Occasionally will be outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment.
