Responsibilities
- Provide technical consultation on the production strategy based on the unique event goals, scope, and vision.
- Oversee the design, setup, and configuration of all necessary control room elements to ensure a high-quality event for client productions.
- Determine the required hardware, equipment, and production assets needed for event and oversee the necessary testing and quality control on all items prior.
- Oversee the operational approach to fulfill the creative production needs for client events, including but not limited to:
- Technical direction
- Audio mixing
- RoBOTic cameras
- Virtual platforms
- Graphics
- Video playback
- Streaming
- Lighting design
- Teleprompter
- Execute virtual events on various virtual event platforms such as StreamYard, Wirecast, and VMix.
- Provide support for staging and creative lighting design.
- Use expert knowledge of production equipment to ensure optimization of all equipment configurations and setups.
- Collaborate on the assessment and recommendation of solutions around overall strategy for studio and event spaces based on operational requirements.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the area of event production, broadcast, video production, or another similar field.
- 1+ years of experience in onsite, virtual, and hybrid live events.
- Studio production and event experience.
- Experience with control room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.
- Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.
- A keen eye for detail with a knowledge of what creatively works well for broadcast production.
- Track record of being strategic, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and working well in a team atmosphere, as well as having the capability to work well individually.
- Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude during high pressure situations.
- Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence, and perspective.
- Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with the understanding of the importance of white glove service.
- Ability to work independently and be self-reliant in the execution of daily responsibilities.
- Consistent proactive preparation and timely responses to multiple channels of communication.
Education and/or Experience
- Experience with Ross production environments and video switchers including Ultrix routers, Carbonite and Ultra switchers.
- Experience with audio production systems including Yamaha audio consoles, Dante audio routing networks, Shure microphones, and intercom systems.
- Experience with Panasonic PTZ Cameras.
- Familiarity with post-production software including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
- College degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or similar field.
