Audio Engineer Intern

Overview We are seeking a full-time Audio Engineering Intern at Garmin's Miramar, FL location. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with designing and testing acoustic components and audio products while working alongside experienced engineers. Essential Functions Assist with the design, prototyping, and testing of acoustic components and audio systemsSupport product testing activities by following established test procedures, collecting data, and documenting resultsHelp create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), test documentation, and product verification recordsAssist engineering teams with the assembly of prototype audio productsDevelop assembly and test fixtures, enclosures, and related components using CAD software such as SolidWorksCollaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction activities and troubleshoot production-related issuesWork with test engineers and factory personnel to support product testing and productionResearch emerging audio technologies, components, and industry trends to support product development effortsAssist with maintaining product documentation and engineering records in accordance with configuration control processesParticipate in product evaluations and provide feedback on products in development as part of the learning experience Basic Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fieldExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Desired Qualifications Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)CAD knowledge and/or experienceRelevant mechanical or electrical design experienceDemonstrated strengths in math, science, physics and practical application workProblem solving skillsPrevious internship experience with audio products Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
