About the Role
The Parts Counter Person is knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. They locate automotive parts within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, or other dealerships) and arrange delivery and installation. This position also receives and stocks incoming parts, performs warehouse housekeeping duties, and may be assigned additional tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate has previous experience with automotive parts and accessories, a pleasant and courteous personality, strong customer service and organizational skills, proficiency in phone and computer use, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive and stock incoming parts and accessories
- Locate parts and accessories and arrange for installation
- Monitor parts inventory and coordinate installation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, and promotions
- Maintain accurate sales documentation
- Provide timely and accurate reports as required
- Ensure safe and on-time delivery of parts to the dealership while following all company procedures and standards
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
