About the role

Be the face of Auction.com, representing the company by conducting, co-hosting, and participating in live auctions, typically held on courthouse steps. Interact with bidders while performing tasks to successfully complete an auction and ensure all required processes are met. Help your local community thrive by educating customers on auction participation and assisting in turning houses into homes.

Training hourly pay is $20 per hour, increasing incrementally after successful completion of positional training and with skill development, starting at $27.50 per hour.

Territory

Centered around Raleigh, NC, with travel up to 2 hours to auctions in surrounding areas. Occasional travel beyond 2 hours may require a rental car, based on projected mileage and scheduling opportunities.

Schedule

Schedules are assigned weekly by your Area/State manager based on auction needs. Expect flexibility, as each auction day typically requires 2–4 hours of work, averaging 8–12 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are not guaranteed. Additional time may be required for training, administrative tasks, and skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism with customers and on-site event staff (e.g., deputies, government employees, attorneys).
  • Execute all auction day processes for varying asset volumes.
  • Maintain event equipment and materials.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on customer resources.
  • Engage in professional communication and networking.
  • Collect customer information using proprietary software.
  • Auctioneer and track bids for varying asset volumes.
  • Complete customer contracts and event reports.
  • Identify, report, and support process and technology efficiencies.
  • Facilitate on-the-job training for event day roles.
  • Participate in scheduled training and team calls.
  • Complete all tasks with high quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum education requirement).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
  • Ability to stand for long hours and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Regular travel up to 2 hours to event locations in a personal vehicle.
