Attorney (Texas Litigation)

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of First-Party Property and General Liability defense files from intake through resolution.
• Develop case theories, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and deliver the legal research that drives client decision-making.
• Take and defend depositions, appear at hearings and mediations, and prepare witnesses and experts for trial.
• Keep clients informed with timely, practical assessments of liability, exposure, and case direction.
• Drive negotiations and alternative dispute resolution to secure strong outcomes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing (required).
• Louisiana admission is a strong plus.
• At least 3 years of civil litigation experience; hands-on work in First-Party Property and/or General Liability defense strongly preferred.
• Sharp legal research, analysis, and writing abilities.
• The discipline and organization to manage a busy caseload independently in a remote setting.
