Job Responsibilities

  • Support attorney recruiting across the firm, including law student, associate, counsel, and partner hiring.
  • Coordinate search execution, including search strategy discussions with hiring managers, outreach plans, and timely progression of each search against recruiting timelines and hiring objectives.
  • Candidate sourcing, screening, and selection, including organizing interview panels, scheduling interviews, coordinating on-site and virtual interview logistics, and collecting and synthesizing interview feedback.
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates and search firms throughout the process, ensuring consistent communication and a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Maintain the candidate pipeline and candidate records to ensure data integrity.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to promote attorney opportunities and support the firm's alumni network to strengthen talent pipelines.
  • Support the on-campus interview (OCI) process and the summer associate program, including orientation, mentoring, evaluations, and exit-survey data.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with law school and career-services representatives and coordinate recruiting events such as career fairs and networking sessions.
  • Aid in the preparation of offer letters, coordinating with other departments as necessary, and support attorney onboarding and integration.
  • Develop job postings in partnership with hiring managers, including recommending pay ranges based on market research, and ensure compliance with pay-transparency laws.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within LawCruit and internal databases, and prepare reports and analyses on recruiting metrics and trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • At least 4 years of recruiting experience, preferably within a law firm, legal recruiting, or other professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with attorneys, search firms, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience across the attorney recruiting life cycle, including both law school/campus recruiting and lateral hiring.
  • Exceptional organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent searches, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a polished, professional demeanor and the ability to interact effectively with senior partners and firm leadership.
  • A high level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and service-oriented approach, with strong follow-through and an ownership mindset.
  • Experience with recruiting databases (e.g., LawCruit), reporting tools, and other legal recruiting platforms.

Pay and Benefits

The Attorney Recruiting Specialist role offers a salary range of $80,000.00 to $110,000.00. Compensation will vary based on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, and work location.
