Attorney - Med Mal, Plaintiff

About the role

An established plaintiff firm based in Freehold, NJ with over 35 years in practice is seeking a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney with 5+ years of plaintiff-side litigation experience to join its growing med mal practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned medical malpractice matters through discovery, expert development, and resolution
• Review and analyze complex medical records and coordinate with medical experts
• Draft and respond to pleadings, written discovery, and motion practice
• Absorb and assist senior trial attorneys on high-value catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases
• Participate in depositions, mediations, trial preparation, and courtroom proceedings
• Leverage firm technology and AI-driven tools to organize evidence, analyze case data, and streamline litigation workflows
• Maintain detailed and fully digital case files while ensuring compliance with deadlines and court requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plaintiff-side medical malpractice litigation experience
• Experience handling complex litigation involving medical records, experts, and causation issues
• Strong legal writing skills with experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
• Comfort working with expert witnesses, including physicians and medical specialists
• Tech-savvy and proficient in a fully digital case environment
• Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating closely with senior trial attorneys
