Attorney - Litigation (Professional Track)

DLA Piper is seeking an Attorney to join its growing Proposition 65 practice, part of its nationally recognized Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions group. This is a non-partnership track position open to any US office.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to the California bar and the bar for the jurisdiction in which you live (if not CA)
  • At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm or equivalent
  • Experience with Proposition 65, consumer class action defense, consumer product regulatory counseling, complex commercial litigation, and/or consumer litigation (defense) is a plus
  • California state court experience is a plus
  • Previous federal clerkship is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and external audiences
  • Produce high-quality work and respond to correspondence in an efficient, timely, and professional manner
  • Meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and commit to meeting high standards
  • Comply with firm policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidences as required in a law firm environment

Work Environment

  • Primarily sedentary work, requiring occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
  • Involves sitting for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing
  • Occasional domestic and international travel
  • Opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement combining remote and in-office work; specific arrangement determined at hiring and may be modified at the firm’s discretion
  • Firm’s work location requirements may be modified at the firm’s discretion

Pay

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $150,000–$250,000 per year, depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
