Attorney/Lawyer - Happy Placed Candidate; Growing Firm!

Responsibilities

• Manage cases from inception to trial, ensuring all legal matters are handled efficiently.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions, to gather necessary information for cases.
• Attend court appearances as needed to represent clients.
• Draft and review pleadings and other legal documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel to maintain strong relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
• Handle project-based work, especially for first-year attorneys.
• Utilize case management software and other legal software to manage and track case progress.
• Manage litigation matters, including civil litigation and employment litigation.
• Draft and review contracts as part of transactional work.
• Maintain a focus on client outcomes, ensuring the best possible results for each case.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law and good standing with the applicable state bar.
• At least 3 years of experience practicing law, with stronger consideration for candidates with 5 or more years in civil litigation.
• Candidates with 2 years but strong substantive experience (depositions, hearings, handling a case with some autonomy) are encouraged to apply, too.
• Demonstrated ability to handle litigation matters with a high level of independence.
• Experience drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, and other substantive legal filings.
• Strong working knowledge of discovery processes, including depositions and written discovery.
• Confident oral and written advocacy skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
• Able to manage multiple matters efficiently while meeting deadlines and billable hour expectations.
