Job Summary

Join Stange Law Firm, PC in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a Family Law Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced or transitioning litigators to develop their skills and gain valuable courtroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases, advocate for clients in court, conduct hearings and trials
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients
• Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, and legal correspondence
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trials
• Attend court appearances, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Maintain organized and accurate case files
• Ensure all work product is completed accurately and timely

Requirements

• J.D. required
• Licensed to practice law in Iowa
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases effectively and professionally
• Familiarity with family law matters preferred, but not required
