Attorney/Lawyer
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Industrial Disability Retirement (IDR) and/or labor law matters
- Handle IDR applications and related proceedings, including matters involving medical records and expert testimony
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and client correspondence
- Conduct legal research and analyze case strategy
- Review employment, personnel, and medical records
- Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, and developments
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to move matters efficiently toward resolution
Qualifications
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- Prior litigation, administrative law, employment law, labor law, workers' compensation, public sector, or other relevant legal experience welcomed
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Able to independently manage assignments and deadlines in a remote environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Interest in developing expertise in labor and/or Industrial Disability Retirement matters
- Self-motivated with a collaborative and client-focused approach

This is a fully remote opportunity with the potential for permanent conversion based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
